hi, ive got a 95% complete car.
its been in that state for 2 years now, i just cant finish it.
please someone hit me round the head, i really want it finished but i cant get round to it.
its got a honda blackbird engine in, its only going to be used for the track.
im setting myself a deadline of january 17th at santa pod where i want to set a time in it.
is anyone else in this unfortunate state?

What do you still need to do? Write a list and then cross them off as you do them. Post it here so we can see your progress and cajole you if you slack off

Get a ride out with somebody for an hour, that should give you the kick up the arse to finish yours...sure somebody on here will live near enough to take you for a spin.

well i do go out for a ride in it, its just got a few bits missing.

If im honest also, not finishing the car is stopping me starting a new project(i do at least know not to start another till its finished)
Is it common to fall at the final hurdle?

Get somebody round to help you finish. You might not feel like doing it all by yourself, but it's harder to say no when there is somebody who has given their time to give you a hand. I have been in that boat so many times (wiring has taken me almost a full year), and even now, most of my gauges don't work, and I am going ahead anyways. I'm 2 3/4 years into mine.

where about in staffs are you???

ive built an mk and helped with a vstorm, am studying at staffs uni so i can give a hand to anyone nearby
