Bet it cost more than £250

deezee - 12/11/09 at 11:19 AM

Wow that looks awesome. Much cooler than some plastic models I've seen. Bet Ben is right though, probably cost more than an actual locost car!

Why not make a working 1/12 scale model, like the Ferrari guy.

feck! There's probably the same number of parts as there is on a real one

splitrivet - 12/11/09 at 02:55 PM

I think its been discontinued in the UK now but when I was a Tamiya dealer 20 or so years ago it used to sell for 200+ squids.
Cheers,
Bob

Theres a caterham owner that will build one for a fee......think you can get them from taiwan as well

Mave - 12/11/09 at 04:36 PM

I've got one (not finished yet). The JPE version. There are even rubbers for the pedals in the kit. It really is amazing. (not even mentioning the tiny screws that are used everywhere....)

Stott - 12/11/09 at 05:09 PM

My dads got the BRG one on his shelf at home, when you've finished it, put it in a display case or it'll get full of dust and they are a bitch to clean being so delicate!!!

There is a cheaper version...

But you have to strip a Tamiya Sierra for some of the parts to make it..

I think it'd be more fun to build from scratch, personally....
