Mix it 50:50 with some old sump oil, get it in a steel bucket with a rag in to to. Sorted.

I'd also suggest putting it through a chainsaw / strimmer / lawnmower etc etc.
I have used 5 year old petrol, mixed it with some fresh and used it in the car.
10:1 was OK for me. I couldnt notice the difference.
Basically the higher / lighter vapours evaporate off, leaving the heavier components behind.
Mix it well with fresh petrol and use it in a Non injected engine.
If you are not happy then just dispose of it, not forgetting to take precautions not to get burned etc.
Above just be safe and careful.
just take it to your local household waste site, they have a tank for old hydrocarbons. We're talking about £7 of fuel (more like £3 if it is 10 years old), its not going to break the bank chucking it away!

Weed killer or spectactular 20sec bonfire.
Battery, fuel pump, injection nozzle, fuel pipe, leaf blower and piezo igniter should do the trick
