Sorry, I don't understand. In the recent top gear he loved the Stratos, and said so in no uncertain terms despite his typical sarcasm towards home built cars in general.

In this video he also loves the Stratos. So in what respect is he talking out of his butt?

At the moment he is forever running down cars built in a shed , by a Yorkshireman with a hammer, yet we have on tape from the man himself actually wanting to buy one. Is it because he has made so much money hes become a brand snob....

did anyone hear the stratos going around the track on the recent top gear? On the first lap, it was running really rough, misfiring, and clarkson commented on how good it sounded!!!

Watch the clip of old topgear that he'd assembled the Lancias for, the segement on last weeks was basically the same.

Or is it because he's Clarkson, and these kinds of comments are pretty much a trademark now, part of his act? You are taking him far too seriously.

How many people interested in buying a particular type of car would tune into top gear for a factual review of it? I certainly wouldn't.
