I'm building a LoCost but is it worth getting the Haynes Roadster book?
John P - 6/12/09 at 08:03 PM

There seem to be a lot of people supplying parts for the Haynes Roadster.

I don't really know how similar this is to the LoCost and was considering buying the Haynes book to see if I could use such items as the Haynes diff mounting brackets, lower wishbone plates, pedal box etc.

Any comments.

John.

I bought it to suss out which I wanted to build and in the end stole ideas from both.

The brackets as far as I know are the same. Diff mounts are only applicable if you fit IRS to the locost or build a roadster. Im using haynes pedal box parts for my locost. 3GE Components make a lot of the bits and pieces.

for the cost of a book its worth it, i bought one even though i had finished my indy just for the read. Depends how close to £250 you wana end up

Best of luck with the £250!sitting at the better part of £1400 at the moment!before the dreaded suspension or test!

time to start saving me thinks!
