Hi all,

Just registered. I'm a hopeful Locost builder and refugee from two wheels.

Wife and 2 kids in 2 years have meant that the bike has had to go but still need the rush.

Aiming to build a locoblade / locasaki in the near future.

Any tips re chassis etc since I'm wlding deficient! ST / MK / others?

Cheers

Jon

hi and welcome.

bungee jumping would be a faster less costly rush!

MK looks good if you want to buy a chassis.

Anyone who fancies a locost and doesn't want or hasn't time to learn welding would be well advised to get an MK Indy and put the engine of their choice in it. Plenty to do when building a car, and if you don't WANT to go through the chassis building process, then don't!

I'm building a ninja powered locost at the moment, welded my own chassis cos I just had to know I could, but the best bet otherwise is probably MK Indy and stick the bike engine in. MK have fitted both blade and ninja so they know their stuff.

Also check out the bike engine car group on Yahoo Groups for lots more people doing the same.
