hi all,
ive got an annoying clicking noise on my car,
it is speed dependant and is coming from the front left,
the annoying thing is i've replaced both of the outer CV joints in the process of trying to get rid of the noise so its not them
any ideas ?
cheers
Matt

Stone in the tyre clicking on the road surface??
no stones in the tyres,
also the clicking is intermittent
thanks for the input anyway
Radio not loud enough?
My brother in law had a clicking on his corsa.
Turned out to be the subframe was loose but was only noticable at very slow speeds under load.....
if its fwd then just jack a wheel up at a time and let it run in gear to have a look under the car.
Mind to really do a good job of supporting the car while you do this, no jack only cutting corners.
i had a wheel bearing go like that on one of my cars
Sounds like a bush or heel bearing?
Also, check youre wheel nuts.....
If you've done the CV joints then theres a good chance that its the wheel bearing. I take it the tie wraps/ metal clips you used on the CV Joint are not catching any where.
thanks for the replies,
any way I can check to see if it is the wheel bearing before i jump in?
also, how much does it cost to have a new bearing pressed into a hub?
