Hi all
over christmas I converted my gargage to support my other hobby of photography.
Below are some before and after shots.
DONT worry the car come back in at night, and sits on a big matt with a drip tray (bad sign)
question is have i commited sacraledge on the sacred garage space??
(I don't think so it's really nice to work in there now!)
Before
After
[Edited on 4/1/10 by nib1980]
post up some pics of the naked ladies you photogrpah and then we will tell you if its sacraledge or not.
Did you do a Mr Bean and just explode a tin of white paint?!
Seen as how it is now more cosy Mrs Nib will be thinking it will be fine to extend the living space in to it. Your on a slippery slope sunshine! Next
thing you know she will be wanting to sell the car to pay for the work!
Hmmm.... Its a nice well lit, clean, white painted garage now!...
You about to start a new build??
[Edited on 4/1/2010 by wilkingj]
hmmm....
Your wife already started if you didn't notice.
By the time it took you to pick up the camera, she already put a mirror on the wall.
Converted your garage to summat else!!! You'll go to hell for that.
The only possible redemption is to build a new garage twice the size, fullt equipped with underfloor heating and automatic dehumidifiers.
I'm sure the missus will understand it is the only way to salvage your soul!!
the naked ladies will come in time (friday actually, but only burlesque)
the wife did sugesst the mirror for make up and clothing checks.
no new build, but i am mid engine conversion!
oh yeah and it took 18 ltrs of paint, i think my walls are made of sponge!

If the cars still allowed in to live there, and your still allowed to work on it in there then that sounds great.
What are the hitches?
Burlesque on Friday ?
That's a slippery slope, next it'll be cam corders, naked women, porn.......
I need to convert my garage fecking quick, what a hobby

Nice, and a great hobby too
I like it - i assume you've got different rolls to drape - how are you keeping it warm?
I've got an arrangement using bits of wood, king sized bed sheets in the lounge ... except the g/f won't agree to pose to try it out

Heat wise i've always had a heater in the garage, I insulated the floor when i laid it and now the ceiling is border it actually gets quite
toasty!
As for the wife, i'll neve take her picture as I'll never get it right (never spoil your muse)
Me thinks a locost calendar combining good looking burlesque women and well polished cars is in order!

my wife has just announced that our upstairs lounge is now to be her photography studio. so its out with the white paint for me too! just have to find
a new home for the sofas that have been sat on at least twice.
I have also been given a shopping list for studio lights and backdrops. was just about to have a moan about the costs when she informed me she has 3
boudoir shoots booked for next week.
bonus
Mark Cleghorn and phototraining4you have a lot to answer for!

I would love to try and downsize the need for studio equipment however Mark Cleghorn is training my wife as one of his apprentices on his website and
there is no way she would accept that anyone else who does it differently could be as good.
are you on the SWPP?
do you have a photography website we can view your pics on?
where do you get your models from? purestorm?

Did you seal the walls first? Not that I did when I did mine but regret it now - not only did I use 6 million litres of paint but the salt is being pulled through now and some bricks have started to yellow!
Nib1980,
Paint Primer sealer is cheaper than paint, as is applied diluted, and prevents the absorption of paint.
The only issue I see is that you maybe have used a gal of sealer, which leaves you with half a bucket of paint, which at the same time, may not be so
bad as youŽd have paint for touch ups.
nib1980,
a Locost Burlesque calendar (with girls is it would have 12 pages of what car? anyway
If your garage is that tidy now - you must have a full shed!
