Who has a fuel gauge fitted to the car?

Was using siearra clocks and now Acewell with out the fuel gauge, do i fit one or not or make a pod and mount the siearra fuel and temp gauge?

i'd just get a seperate 52mm fuel and temp gauge personally, rather than try to adapt the sierra ones

^^ Ditto. Personally think a trip meter is more useful anyway, more accurate than most fuel gauges and you soon get a feel for the cars capacity!

If you don't have a fuel gauge - make a dip stick. Invaluable for a quick blat when you don't want to go and fill up, but gives you peace of mind that you're not going to run out somewhere very inconvenient.

I've got a fuel meter. Wouldn't be without one but then my tank is quite small and depending on my right foot my MPG can be anything from quite good to quite bad!! IE so I can't use miles to work out how much fuel I have left.

Isn't a fuel gauge an IVA requirement?
