Pedal Box's - Compbrake.co.uk

I am looking for a floor mounted pedal box, to run in a single seater, with a motorbike engine - so i believe i will need a full hydraulic pedal box.

Just been looking on the web, and found this Link

Has anyone brought from Compbrake.co.uk before, and what are there products like?

Looking on the OBP site, the comparison one is £326, well over £100 more expensive, is there any difference?

Or does anyone else know of anywhere cheaper? Always after a bargain!!!!

I bought a master cylinder from Compbrake and wasn't overly impressed with it. Threw it away and bought a Wilwood one.

Hi

Mmm check out the bias bar arrangement the pedal arrangement the pedal ratio. and the unusable master cyl's. This applies to both the comp brake and the OBP setups. they virtually the same. You would almost think the same person was making them.

Cheers Matt

Hi

You could do a lot worse than fabricate your own made to measure built to fit the aplication. At least you wouldn't have all the compromises of a general doesn't fit doesn't work brought one.

Cheers Matt

Chrisg book would give you an idea how to make one, not so difficult.

If using the design from Chrisg's book then I'd be going to 3GE to buy the bits (or one that's built up for £99 if it fits properly).

I bought a bias valve from Goaty on here that he had bought from Comp Brake and didn't need. It was big fat hairy rubbish. Badly built and just didn't let the fluid flow at all. Badly designed. It's on the garage floor still with a hole drilled in it lying in disgust.
Not Goaty's fault in any way I might add.

Even though he'd never shout about it on an open forum himself, Matt's (Procomp) pedal sets are well manufactured adn not badly priced either...
