GSXR 600 carbs/airbox/trumpets
Miks15 - 4/5/10 at 08:20 PM

Hi guys,

I need to sort out some sort of filter for my carbs. But also do i need the trumpets? If i buy the airbox will the trumpets be in it?

How do they mount on the carbs? there dont seem to be any fixing holes, is there a rubber bits that slots over the carb with the trumpet on the other side?

what have other people using gsxr600 carbs done?

Thanks
Mikkel

if the carb ones are the same as tbs then the trumpets fit onto the the end and held in place with a metal clamp.
the trumpets are actually the bits that hold the airbox to the tbs, so if you get an airbox with mounting rubbers, than thats what you are after.

i ended up using a fair bit of the airbox.

temp sensor
trumpets
i actually used the section with the trumpets in and just bolted them to the filter back plate (they have a nice ridge that fits into the trumpets)
the remainder of the airbox makes a good tray (for draining oil, coolant)
also have a spare map sensor now
