Steering damper for bike?
CraigJ - 22/5/10 at 03:07 PM

My riding instuctor has asked me if i know of a steering damper from a car that can be used on a bike with side car. the normal bike one's are too short. he needs one about 8-10 long maybe slightly longer.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Ive got some springs and dampers in my photo album still for sale. HAve a look, and point him to them to see if they are suitable.

hi

tel him to try hairris performance, and ask for one to fit a GSXR750L/M as they did and aftermarket "gold" one that was about that length, as i fitted on to mine many moons ago, or anyonther aftermarket for that bike fitment of 1990/91 era

do you mean one of these? thought they normally at least 10-11inches when extended. would think need something adjustable, can he use a shorter one but in a position closer to the head stock so doesnt need to be so long?

Sorry i made a mistake. he needs 8-10 inchs of travel. not over all lenth. its not going on the head stock either but from the from fork to the side car out-rigger.
