hinged pipe clamps, ideal for brake lines and appear to be undoabale.

mmmmmmmm gold

quote:
In both the single and twin series, LBBU clamps are available in 3 sizes and cover all standard metric and imperial diameters between 4 mm and 32 mm. The twin series is also available for different diameters upon request.

The UV, ozone and weathering-resistant material Santoprene with a hardness degree of 87 Shore-A, guarantees vibration and noise-reducing pipe and hose installation.

A film hinge, which allows the top part of the plastic clamp body to open up, makes it easy to insert and replace the pipe or hose without the use of force.

dude you need to get out more.......................

James - 20/7/10 at 09:44 AM

Looks like a great idea to me- nice secure way of clamping fuel pipe, brakes, even loom etc. etc.

Whether IVA man will be happy with just the bolt holding it though? Loctite needed at the very least I'd have thought. And of course, having it bolted means fitting a rivnut which needs a much bigger hole in your chassis tube compared to a rivet.

Cheers,
James

i need some time alone with these

MikeR - 20/7/10 at 10:23 AM

but if you've welded little strips onto your chassis with holes in for rivets - then welding a nut won't be much hassle .......

yes, i'm excited as well.... where do you get them from and how much are they (and when you answer that i'm sure i'll lose my excitement).

Block of nylon a drill and a dremel and you could make as many as you want.

It is not quite that simple as the number you can make is limited by the size of the bit of nylon.

The point peeps seem to be missing it that you would never have to worry about the rivet heads rattling in your chassis with this system should you need to replace a brake pipe.

No, I'm not joking, and don't call me Shirley

I'm surprised nobody got the Airplane reference. One of the best movies of all time. Those pipe clamps look nice though, hope they make this this side of the pond.
