Big foot problem?
WAYNE10 - 13/8/10 at 07:21 PM

Hi just wondering on average what the minimum gap between top off brake pedel & steering column. Mine is about 20mm & my size 11 shoe is catching on it. Is there any trick to get round this or have I got to remove my toe's.

Remove your toes.... it will save weight!

ive put the steering colum over the top of the chassis away from my siz 12's

If you go over the top of the chassis does this not put the steering wheel close to your lap

see my recent posts - i've just put mine under the chassis rail to make space in my lap.

Think i'm ok with the pedal thing - could you not put your heal further back so the pedal touches higher up your feet & therefore less is above the pedal top. The other option would be to move the whole pedal assembly closer to you.

Put a dent in the floor to rest your feet in

An untried out of the box solution would be to cut the floor and put a box in to lower your heels, as long as the box isnot lower than the sump you should be safe from impacts
