Just reading through my issue of Practical Classics here and I see someone's standing up for Locosts in the letters section.
Seems Locost's were described as bodged together from Sierra bits in the Lotus Seven review last month. How little they know! Also interesting
which manufacturers where listed in the options list for seven type cars.
Joel P was this your letter??
Cheers
I replied to the article, but haven't bought the mag since, so I don't know if it was my letter!

Is it this months edition? Would anyone be able to scan it and post it as a PDF?
Sounds about right to me. What's to complain about. Oh! sorry, should have mentioned Cortinas, Escorts, Capris, R1s, ZX9s, 12s and Fireblades along with various Vauxhall and Toyota involvements. It's like the hot rod movement in the US but with more government influence. Leave them alone in their own little world where they feel safe, they will wake up one day.
Yes Joel P it said it was you!! Now you can be excited...
Cheers

I had a letter published in motor cycle news once - in the seventies - asking compatability between c50/70/90 engines - was thinkingof an upgrade to my sports moped. Crap - thats 29 years ago!

How many?
well, i bought a copy today, it seems to be a little edited from what i wrote but still mine atleast!
if anyone is bothered to scan it and post it here, i'll send em a photocopy. just lemme know your address.
Haven't bought it for years just too many technical howlers that showed they (a) knew nothing about classics and (b) never drove half the cars they claimed to road test. Once they described the old Vauxhall slant 4 engine as being "as smooth as silk" and the Morris Oxford Farina as having a "precise gearchange".
I've mailed them today and offered the clubs assistance if they want to do a feature.
Cheers
Chris
In steps Hicost to assist....
