Surprised... I've bought a few bits from them and they were spot-on every time!

It's not really a question of being not afraid so much as whether it's the right thing to do, seeing as they aren't here to defend themselves.

marcjagman - 20/9/10 at 08:30 PM

Never had a problem with them, good service.

scootz - 20/9/10 at 08:31 PM

What sort of problems are you having with them?

By that logic, I cant say George Bush is muppet....!

MikeR - 20/9/10 at 09:15 PM

No you can't - the muppet show / Jim Henson will sue you for defamation of muppets

More a fair play thing than a logic thing though.

I've bought stuff from KPD twice, and not had any problems.

I had a problem, RING THEM once you get through they should sort it. Useless contact via email but sorted it through the phone straight away.

RK - 20/9/10 at 09:41 PM

Phone Richard. He is or was at one time, easy to find and deal with in general.

Everybody and their dog knows about George Bush being a muppet

I have had two orders from KPD and on the first the delivery was slow only because it was a holiday time. The second order was two weeks ago - ordered on Friday, delivered Tuesday morning.

'Kit Parts Direct' used to be part of GBS/Robin Hood but are now separate. Owned by Ian Rowley who has split from GBS. Richard remains with GBS as Co-Owner and has a new spares section called 'Kit Spares'.

no they won't, because they're not here to defend themselves

dilley - 21/9/10 at 05:55 AM

3 weeks and still no delivery.

snapper - 21/9/10 at 06:14 AM

They were at Stafford all weekend, the Kit Car shows always slow things down.
From what I saw at Stafford the whole kit car industry is having a tougher time than normal

Even more reason to get things right and keep people buying from you,I don't understand in this day and age with forums like this where lots of people can see good/bad service don't care about customer relations.

Sounds like they either have run out of whatever you ordered, and are waiting for more to come in, or your order has got lost in some way.

What did they say when you rang them to ask?

Kit Parts direct were NOT at stafford all weekend. GBS (Robin Hood were)

Kit Parts Direct is now NOTHING to do with GBS (Robin Hood)

Kit Parts Direct is based in Hull
GBS (Robin Hood) is based in Mansfield

Personally I wouldnt touch Kit parts direct with a barge pole but would go direct to GBS as thats where Kit Parts Direct used to get most of their stock from

We (the Locostbuilders collective) would like to think we're a large group of like-minded people and as such had a loud voice and some influence on the kit car market. In reality, we're only a small group of people and whether we name and shame or not, our actions don't really have any impact on supplier/manufacturers sales. IMHO
