Any good or bad points I should know about Adrian Flux? They've just given me a VERY good quote, and my naturally suspicious mind kicked in!
They said £114, for 1500 miles, comprehensive - other places quoted around £150.
David
Been with them for years and always been cheap, helpful, and sensible when I start fiddling the the engine!
Never had a claim tho...
Chris
I took there cover recently at 150 quid for 3k miles (pre SVA) and they even extended the cover for several weeks awaiting my reg number as I failed
SVA first time. I just kept them informed about when I expected the reg number and they were very helpfull.
Wou;ld recommend them to anyone.
Hey, 150 quid for a "super car" cant be bad.
Dave
1500 miles ???
i only drive my car on sunny ocassional days , and still manage at least 2k plus a year
steve
Steve, I heard you the first time!
I'm going to try 1500 for the moment - they'll extend it for a suitable amount of money, I'm sure, if I need to...
David
I think they must be going for new customers. Last year they couldn't get anywhere near the best quote I could get, this year they are the cheapest by £30 and agreed value cover. Got my custom.
allways used them for this type of car, not thru loyalty, but price, i aint ever claimed either though.
I have heard rumours that adrian flux are very reluctant to pay out if you have a claim. No personal experience or direct friends though.
Adrian Flux will only sell the policies, they will underwrite with other companies, NIG (part of churchill, which is part of Royal Bank of Scotland
which also owns Directline and Privilege and esure amongst others)
The payouts will be the responsibility of the underwriters
I insure with Flux but the policy is NIG Skandia when it comes. Who was Alez with, they gave him agreed value didn't they?
Flux use loads of underwriters - my certificates have always said 'Sterling'
Chris
Sterling is a brand name used by various Lloyds underwriters, they don't have their own claims department, and sub it to the major assessing companies
Im just on with a claim with them at the moment and when ever i ring up i have to be re-directed to royal sun alliance. Not a problem tho, it just takes a bit longer (suppose i could get a direct number) They offered me a fair price for my car but it did take 2 weeks or so for this and i still havent got the money plus they decided it was a right off within 2 days of the accident without offering me any money then said i was only entitled to a courtesy car for 48hrs so ive had to get a temporary car for now but a locost would probably be your second car anyway, this was my everyday car. They are still the cheapest ive found and both of mine will be insured through them soon. Hope this helps.
many years, no problems but no claims either!
