franky - 3/4/11 at 01:30 PM

As above, what sort of real wet weights are people getting for CEC's. Not guesstimates or brochure weights!

Can you post make/engine/diff makes and what sort of protection its got, ie roll over bar/cage/cage with side impact bars etc.

Book Locost,
1660 Crossflow engine,
Type 9 box,
Escort rear axle,
Cortina uprights,
Roll bar with braces.

Exactly 600kg on the local weighbridge (as above, +/- 20kg).

Will be a little more now, as I've fitted a full windscreen (maybe another 5 - 10kg)

Book chassis with a 2.0 pinto, steel floor, 50 rollbar and 50mm rear supports, additional crash protection in the rear, steel fuel tank, reinforced scuttle, comfy padded seats was 700kgs at sva fully wet

rodgling - 3/4/11 at 06:55 PM

GKD with 328 engine, 710 kg according to IVA (probably slightly less as they weighed front and rear independently), about 30 l of fuel. Probably 25 kg to be saved with a lighter battery and wheels.
