Wonder how this will turn out?

Looks like fun, apparently it should do 0-60 in 4 seconds.. not bad!

not convinced with the small bore tubing to restrain that huge battery pack in a crash. The battery actually looks like hundreds of nicad cells, god the weight of that and the cost!

It's not ni-cads, they are lithium iron as per the killacycle (http://www.killacycle.com/).. Still the batteries probably weigh less than a combustion engine, tend to agree they need to be strapped down. Looks like very early days for the project though.

Lithium iron would probably weigh more than lithium ion

Not nicads but
"A123’s high-performance Nanophosphate® lithium ion battery"

I think its an awesome project.

I'd have gone 1 motor per back wheel and ditched the diff

It looks very tale heavy to me with all the electrics and hardware stuffed under the back. Surely the thing would be more efficient if they were distributed around the frame?

Very interesting, I just want to see a viable project that actually works and can be used without silly restrictions.
