locoboy - 16/8/04 at 03:17 PM

and if your late for work you always have a valid excuse that that train was late!

Glad to see you back and at it so to speak, now lets see if you can knock out another chassis quick smart!

Graceland - 16/8/04 at 03:22 PM

lol, the chassis wont be as quick as the last one - well, maybe the outline will be

i've also got a spare computer that will be going into the garage so i can look instantly at plans etc etc that are on the computer and have online help instantly avalable

Peteff - 16/8/04 at 04:38 PM

Do you have to hold onto the electric cable ? You'll need three days off to recover. Get stuck in there and good luck in the new job.

Graceland - 16/8/04 at 04:48 PM

hehehe - rules and regs state that 9' is the clearance distance, except when life is in danger, then its 3 foot

however, yer - looking forward to this one, not gonna be able to go as fast as i did previously, but winder is here so its time to bump and grind

mangogrooveworkshop - 16/8/04 at 05:04 PM

Hi,
What Chop saw is that, it looks like a woodwork one. I have been UMMing and RRRing over what to do, the Abrasive chopsaws for metal are all 2-3KW electric motor jobs, and £300. I thought of using a woodwork one (cheaper) with an abrasive disc in it, however the motors on the woody ones are only 600w - 1600w. and the 1600w ones arent cheap.

I would be most interested to know what you have there, and how good it is, and what the blade in it is. Also is it a new saw, or an old (part worn out) saw.

I would appreciate your experienced view!

Best Regards.

Geoff

PS... I cant saw straight with a hacksaw to save my life!.

Graceland - 17/8/04 at 07:30 PM

heya geoff

its a wood saw - b&q special, 30 quid when i bought it - used a wood blade for a few cuts untill that died, then bought a metal blade from screwfix - never had no problems with it, cant tell you what size the motor is, but it cuts well

wilkingj - 17/8/04 at 08:34 PM

Thanks for the B&Q tip, I will have a look in the loacl store.. Any info on the blade, like price or part No?.. was it a TCT, type any details wold be welcomed.
Sorry to ask, but You have got the brain cells active.

BTW... thanks.

Regards

Geoff

Graceland - 17/8/04 at 08:49 PM
