What kind of price shoudl I expect for plating?

I have some steel tubes where one has to slide in the other to adjust the length, with a clamp to old them together. The clearance is very slight and they won't slide if painted. I've just thought about having them plated instead. How much might it cost me to get 4 steel tubes of 14 and 16mm diameter 600mm long zinc plated?

My local place would do that for their £20 cash minimum.

Cheers

If you have a look at this post, page five, there is a good DIY system for zinc plating. HTH Ray

If flexible with finish then I suggest maybe chrome.

More companies will do it and its more popular. It means your more likely to get it added to a large batch for a fast turn around and cash in hand job.

£20 is a good estimate.
