looks like you have done a really good job so far.
Cant comment on the colour cos after 2+ years of build I still cant make my mind up!

If it's only that part of the car that's polished up it'll look like it's only just been put on there and is awaiting the paintshop.
Therefore it definitely ought to be painted.
In my opinion of course...
Other than that and the pepper pots it's looking good.
Looks really really good! Love the colour.
I agree with Hippy, because the whole rest of it is blue it looks like the bonnets waiting to be painted- sorry!
Did you paint it yourself or get a body shop to do it?
Cheers,
James
Thanks guys, yes sprayed it myself its only had one coat to show me where to touch up, and the bonnet is awaiting a spray because i just made it, i was pleased with the pepperpots, though, they only cost me 40 quid with good tyres, whats wrong with them?.
Sorry, but I relate pepperpots to XR2s and boy racers.
If you like them, then that's absolutely fine by me.
After all, it's how YOU want it to look that counts. Trust me, mine is definitely NOT going to be what you might call a 'normal' Locost...
Mr Gusterwhatsit with the crap pics under his name will agree I'm sure... (with the 2nd bit anyway)
Ah ha!
Now I know what pepperpots are!
Looks good to me mate, but I agree the bonnet does look like it wants paint too.
I think you can get away with unpainted stuff if there is more of it.
looks great!
Good choice of colour.Nothing wrong with pepperpots they look fine they can go oval though from my experiences when racing xr2`s.

ive sprayed the bonnet now, thanks for jumping to my defence over the wheels. Oh and FANTASTIC drove it for the first time today, wow!!
Mr Highcost builder...
I love the colour, but you have a potential SVA problem with your rear fog light.
I haven't got my manual to hand, but I do remember that a single fog has to be central or to the offside (driver's side), not too close the nearby
brake/side lights.
It also has to be a minimum distance off the ground - and yours is VERY low!
David
(sorry to be the bearer of bad news, etc.)
no thats cool anyone know the height and position etc thanks
One rear fog lamp, red in colour, mounted either on the centre line or to the offside of centre and not less than 100mm from the nearest stop lamp.
Approval mark E,e, or BS "B" or "F". If the fog lamp is mounted in a housing, which also incorporates the stop lamp, the minimum distance requirement
is assumed to be satisfied.
No mention of height but the Rear Stop Lamps Max height 1500mm (2100mm if impractical) Min height 350mm
HTH (Hope it's right)
just what i need thanks a lot for that.
I had a look in the SVA manual this weekend as I was fitting my rear lights - spotted the details for the fog light.
Min. height is 250mm, unlike everything else which is 350mm. Max height is 1000mm, but I don't think we're worried about that!
"Min. height" is from the ground to the bottom of the lens.
Hope this helps,
David
did i ever mention that anyone building without an sva manual is nuts?
perhaps not this week
