What are you boys and girls wearing when out for a drive in your open cars as in no screen
more specifically though, what are you wearing on long trips in it
biker stuff seems over kill as I wont need the sort of protection it offers
I was thinking some sort of weather proof / wind proof clothing but i dont really know what
I need some for the misses too - she will 'point out' constantly that she is cold - im happy to spend money on this if it saves me listening
to her 'pointing out'
Cheers

Bike coat, the enduro style stuff, water proof and wind proof.
Trapper hat with MX goggles now, couldn't give a what I look like.
Woolly scarf.
Bike helmet for long trips that might involve some wet weather.
Water proof trousers as a bit insurance constantly in the boot.
An golf umbrella as well.
Its more about keeping warm and the bike gear does that as well.

ear plugs might help (sorry couldn't resist!)
what about if it was say 30 degrees?
would the wind chill at 80 be enough to warrant the coat?

I wear my old snowboard jacket - it is a spring type jacket, so is waterproof, but not too hot. I then add to that a fleece and a thermal depending upon the temperature. For really cold days, I might add thermal leggings, a scarf and bike gloves to keep from freezing! I always wear a helment, unless I am literally going 200m. Avoid anything that melts if you touch the hot zorst - another great tip!
in the summer a tshirt, in the winter more tshirts and a hoodie.
in really cold i wear trakkies under my jeans, this works a treat.
I always wear a helmet.
the mrs gets a hoody and a rainjacket in the wet and hasnt partcularly pointed out that shes cold...
how do folk keep their feet warm in winter? mine are stupidly big so it has to be converse, ive tried really good hiking socks ontop of normal ones
but still get chilly toes...
just a smile
I find layers to be the key
Today going to the office I had shirt, trousers, water proof ski jacket, gloves and helmet / safety speck
If its cold add a base layer of long thermals
If its wet add waterproof overalls
I tend to ware long sleeved stuff because derby can hurt
Snowboarding gear, including thermals and sallopettes when it's properly cold. Works a treat (and I really feel the cold).
In summer a t shirt, in winter a thicker t shirt...
I tend to wear outside work wear when driving basically because it is cheap to buy and the bright colours may help other drivers not seeing me in a
orange and silver car.
When cold thermals I find are a must and have also been trying some of the Aldi/Lidl type motorcycling vests to be good worn under s sweat shirt or
jumper.
Generally with the thermals just jeans unless very cold or raining then will stick on some motorcycle rain trousers.
Gloves and helmet is a must, stones, fly's or any debris from the road even rain can hurt at speed.

Scootz you're such a poseur!
I wear a water- and windproof cycling top with lots of layers underneath.
It's ideal because it's quite close fitting, high collared, longish sleeves, a tail so if it does rain your bum doesn't get totally
wet and it's low bulk.
The other advantage is it's bright yellow which makes for extra safety.
Normally wear a helmet and ear plugs but short runs a double thickness fleece hat and goggles.
