if you are asking a question like that it means you dont have an sva manual.

in my mind thats nuts. You take a lot of risks in non compliance.

dont need a manual you guys will answer everything we need and ive only got £250, im not gonna spend thirty plus on a manual because that means ill only have 220 to spend on a stereo.

By the way do you have to have an aero screen?

thats total bollocks.

You can get the sva manual from DVLA in Swansea.

For a techie government manual its really well written. Plain language. It gives the things the tester looks for, and the specific reasons it might fail. Its one ring binder of I guess 120 or so pages.

i would really recommend it.

As far as the 220 quid left is concerned, without an sva manual your whole car could conceivably be compromised if you make a major mistake - and how do you know what to ask in order to avoid pitfalls.

Like, its compulsory to have dual circuit brakes.

Like the windscreen glass needs to be very specifically marked.

Like the lights need to be mounted at certain spacings, distances from the side and road etc.

If you dont have the sva manual, make sure you know all the questions you need to ask. and without the manual, you dont know the questions!
