The silencer looks like an R1

AS above, looks like a bike silencer with a custom maifold ahead of it. By the looks of that cam cover, it is bolted to a Fiat twin cam. Good choice

Yep, good eye ! its a Fiat twin cam engine on a car I missed out on, hence Im building my own although not with a Fiat engine...

I think Ive managed to identify it myself now, its an SBD one, with a ridiculous price tag (circa £500) not sure I'll be having one now then...

Just realised thats plus VAT...

so phoned DAX, they want £475 plus VAT for theirs aswell ! !

Thanks

James

There's a nice polished s/steel version like that available from Builders Solutions (?) for £170. It's available in 5 or 7 inch diameter.

Powerspeed down in Kent charge £199 for a big, stainless, high flow, low noise, repackable one - phone no. 01233 662225

Hello

Yeah, Ive seen that one, its 6" wide it looks pretty good, but the exit and inlet look fairly narrow Im quite particular how I want it, I want it as big and free flowing as possible to give the turbo plenty of breathing space, preferably 2.5" - 3" with the big 7" silencer, it all goes with the butch proportions of the Rush aswell.

Thanks

James

That sounds more like it, I will have a look...more like the figure I had in mind aswell.

Thanks

James

Ive got a 5inch car builders solution ss silence and it is good, the tail end on the 6 ich which is a 2.5 inch system lookes a bit iffy on the ones ive seen. They may have just been a bad batch tho. Ive seen the sbd exhaust, very nice, but at a price!!

Might be worth trying Mk Engineering if you fancy a stainless system - he'll even build them on the car to ensure a perfect fit and the prices are good as well

Cheers

Chris

RPI Engineering near Norwich can bend and fabricate Stainless Exhausts / Pipes, It's mainly a Rover V8 place, but Chris Crane is a good bloke, and well thought of in the Land Rover scene.

this any use: http://www.aa16.co.uk/a16exhaustparts.htm? Seen it posted here but don't know of anyone who's had experience with them.

Thanks for all the response guys !

I think I may have found someone to replic...I mean fabricate me one Im just waiting on a price, but an example Ive seen looks almost identical

I can get the bends and straight bits fabricated and welded by a friend, as I am doing, because I need a custom downpipe on the back of the turbo. Its all the unknown internals : baffles packing etc that are inside an exhuast that means I cant get that done by him aswell, so I needed a place that makes custom silencers/boxes aswell as the other exhaust pipework.

Anyway, thanks to all that offered suggestions !
