RSL Angus Locost

Hi all

Just picked up an RSL angus.

Nice condition fully caged and goes really well. Built 2004

Not much to read up on these on the net. I understand they were built for a race series that never took off.

Does anyone have any experience with them or own one?

Owner didn't know much but all looks to be Ford running gear with a few tweeks.

Any more info on the history of these would be great

Don't know for sure but I suspect it's this one, even if not it's got plenty of pictures.

RSL Angus Locost Kit Car (Similar to Caterham, Robinhood, Westfield Kitcar etc)

Very good price if that's yours.

Yeah that's the one.

Only paid 2400 for it.

Plan is to start doing a few hill climbs.

Does anybody know what the overheating problem is?

I've done the obvious rad bleed and stat out and still overheats,

Gonna change the water pump as I hear there a bit of a pain for failing?

Its got loads of power and pull so I don't think its the head gasket.

Just a process of elimination I think.

Wife's ZR still went like a train and that had a duff h/gasket so don't rule it out just yet.

Bargain of a car though, just needs a slightly more up to date motor in it
