Hi Guys,
Just thought i'd share my joys on the site tonight!
I must be doing something wrong as i've actually made some real progress over the last few days, without any signs of a million other things
going wrong in the process (well that's jinxed it!).
I'm replacing my broken old xflow with a 2.0 blacktop zetec.
Over the last 3 days i have:
- Removed all un-needed ancillaries
- remounted the (standard) alternator and an idler pulley complete with new belt
- Smashed a load of webbing off the sump using a hacksaw, hammer and chisel!
- Drilled and mounted the (standard) starter motor on the bellhousing
- Tested the starter and engine turns well, even got a couple of puffs of smoke out of the exhaust ports!
Again, i'm not quite sure how i've managed this without all my wheels falling off or my chassis splitting in half, but i'm quite
pleased with myself as you may have noticed!
Just got to sort out the plumbing, oh yeh, and i guess wiring up the OEM ECU will probably help as well, but otherwise i think i'm almost
there!!! (yes, 5 smilies!).
Cheers,
Andy
First drive video on Sunday then is it?
