buying a car
craig - 8/5/14 at 07:23 PM

Hi all, being new to the seven replica scene im not sure on the merits of each of them. Im looking for a registered car that ideally needs a bit of work tidying up etc to keep me busy over the summer!
Ive seen a few locosts for sale at a decent price but have missed out as everyone seems to want them now near to our non existant summer!
i want to spend around £3000 max give or take a few hundred quid.
Any tips on which manufacturers to aim for and which to steer clear of?
Thanks in advance.

For that money I think you're in 'home made' chassis territory.

But if you can find a Stuart Taylor go for that.

Ok thanks, i take it anything listed as a locost will be a chassis either fabricated by the builder or someone else from drawings?

Break open your piggybank as they don't get much cheaper than this

Does look a nice bit of kit but i hate the colour, how much would a new set of body panels be?

Why not paint it ????

Its a possibility but i do prefer the non fussy look of the gelcoat panels.
