Can anyone help me with some tips on removing this bearing runner on my "winter project" Fairey Overdrive - see pic? I believe that is should just slide off but it's not moving at all.

Thanks

Heat with a blow torch? Expand it a little, hopefully then will slide off. If its supposed to slide off, it can't be being held on by much?

Run a weld around it with a tig welder and it will just slide of.

Bearing separator but you would need room to get it in.

Bead of weld would be my first choice, falling that move in with the angry grinder, cut a flat down to the shaft, as you get very close you will see the metal change colour as it overheats warning you that you are nearly through

Welding causes contraction so not such a good solution on inner races, and why it works so well on outer races.

Does this part need to be salvaged for reuse or can it be destroyed?

Thanks for the tips, ideally I need to save the race as a new bearing race only comes as part of a kit (£60 !).
