Hi All,
I want to replace my Girling M16 front calipers with something lighter.
What would you suggest?
and where should I buy from?
I've looked at the Willwood Powerlite calipers - are they any good? are they a direct replacement for the M16?
Websites say they are but does the hose fit?
Got mine from rally design, it was the best deal at the time.
Ring them up and they will give you all the info you need.
Then ring ebc for some pads, they don't list them but do stock them!
+1 for Rally Design... but I'd get Mintex 1144 pads from them as well. Don't get the Wilwood smart pads.
Thanks guys - pad recommendation was my next question
Does the standard M10x1.0 hose fitting fit the Wilwood port or did you need an adaptor?

The Wilwood caliper has an (NPT?) tapper hole but RD supply them with a male/male adapter for M10x1; So FEMALE pipe union to screw onto it. I'd
guess your current pipes are male unions? In which case you'd need to swap but that might be needed anyway if the position is different
(it's dead centre, between the pistons, at the back on the wilwoods). RD sould be able to answer your questions about fitment.
I've found the 1144's good on road and track. Some people have found them noisey but never had a problem personaly once they've been
through a few good heat cycles. Not had the ECB pads but have read complaints about them from some trackday users.
Let us know how you get on if you change as this is something I am considering.
I use EBC Yellow stuff and they are good on track and road no complaints at all.
