pistol pete - 7/2/16 at 08:30 AM

I tried to post in new owners but wouldnt let me so thought i'd post here

Hi everyone
My names pete, live down south kent, have purchased a MK indy(some of you will know the car)

Starts with i am a car nut always have been. Always beennchanging trying something new... but then j started trackdays.. didn't take long to move to something competative

I started sprinting 2014 in what i knew .. MR2s.. i have had loads of them and knew them well. I ran the first year in street class, basically competely standard rev 5 na mr2. Went on to win the class for the year.

So i the stepped my game up to pro class, fully stripped, caged, track tyres, the list went on.. i went on again and won my class which was a fairly large class
Resulting the last two years with this nice collection

Again i wanted a new challenge.. so i was looking to turbo the mr2... would of made if fairly quick..
Then a good friend approached me with one of my favorite car among our friends group, his mk1 indy busa
Said he didnt really use it, he never taken it on track and before i spend all my monies on a turbo rebuild etc, mwould i like to purchase and sprint..
Spoke with the wife. She said id be silly and regret it i didnt. So after a day of research and thinking, i agreed..

I am pretty scared of it to be fair. Which i see as a good think, i swapped my trailer for a smaller one and broke the mr2 for all ifs psrts and sent the shell to the race track in the sky a week ago,
Purchased insurance last week from aib
Now just waiting to pick it up, one nice thing is my mr2 wasmt road legal, this is so i gain a weekend toy out of it too...

Ill stop waffling now sorry..
I said some of you may know the car, currently its in phils garage, but was owned by ollie (Reading his thread confirmed i wanted it)

Here are some pics...
Wonder how long will be before i want to turbo it

Roll on next sat
Then i cant wait to get it on track...

Just need to find out the offset and pcd so i can get some spare wheels

Hi there, Just to let you know that Ollie Hewitt and I developed this car from nothing special into the car you have. If you need any help or advice, I will be pleased to assist.

Ah see Olly's (Yellow Cab) car comes down this way then !!!

I know the car quite well, having been in it and worked on it for a couple of evenings.

If you need any help with anything let me know. Also if your on Facebook - Search for Kit Cars down south and post some pictures.
