My new toy -its awesome and bought for £500 plus £60 trailer hire to pick it up!
It's a Cascos 5 metric ton lift.
Bit heavy to install but I managed it on my own with some Locost lifting techniques

I am so envious mate, well doing it yourself. Ian
well done I should have wrote.
It looks like you have the garage for it.
I'd have to have this outside if it were mine - zippo garage space. Also jealous!
Very nice
Wil the frame work of roller door restrict how high you can lift tin top cars?
^^high lift door conversions should be possible if this is an issue...
very nice, very comfortable to work on the car with too I bet, no more kneeling or lying on your back!
I am jealous, looks a good one.
I didnt have the head room for a full two post lift and due to having bikes I just adapted my 700KG bike lift to do both.
Not perfect but does save the back a lot.
Bike Lift
I have about 3 metres head room , but I'll be removing the cross piece for the door and re bracketing the side rails onto the wall .
I will then be able to lift a 7 so that it's well above head height.
More difficult with a full size car , but I'm working at the possibility of some possible changes to the roof timbers
Phil
That's fantastic, great investment (I think my Xmas list has just changed)!!

Bike Lift
No I never touched the bike lift, adapted by building the platform around it as it sits 6" high fully closed.
I put a 2" thick rubber block at the four corners of the lift lined up with the chassis
Clever is that, but after looking at the cost of the bike lifts I could buy a car one for less.
