Well in typical me style....
Got the Iva booked for a couple of weeks time so went out doing some more checks etc and a small drive on the private land where the garage block
is...
Car was running and driving just fine, brought it back to the garage and parked and then the engine stalled. Tried to start up but nothing,
didn't even try, also fuel pump no longer priming.
So proceeded to take the dash off and start poking around at the wiring to work out what's going on, couldn't see anything obvious which was
annoying, started thinking maybe the ecu' blown up and where the hell am I gonna get a replacement etc.
Then it dawned on me, one thing I hadn't checked, yep that was it and cars now fully back to life....!
Wasted a lot of time trying to find a fault that wasn't there.
So.... prizes for the first to guess my stupidity......
Inertia cut-out?
Out of fuel.....
No and no, much more simple....
Dud battery?
loose battery terminal?
Have you got an immobiliser?
no no and no...
i'll give you a clue, it was electrical
Turning the ignition barrel to the start position having forgotten you'd fitted a start button instead
...or pressing the start button without switching on the ignition or battery isolator.

so for me, the fuse is a symptom - what caused it to blow?
Agreed!
Ah, missed that bit, i'd put the fuses the wrong way round!
as in the 25a in the 15a slot and vice versa, i know you can't put a fuse in the wrong way round
