ANyone driving between London and the Northwest?
Lotusmark2 - 30/1/05 at 02:50 PM

Hi all
I have had aVERY generous offer of an A series engine and bits and bobs and thought I would just ask on a long shot to see if anyone does a trip down there and back in a van that could pick it up for me.
Been having a look at these courier firms and they seem to need you to have your own pallet which obviously I dont.
Any help gratefully welcomed.
Cheers
Mark

Hi Jon
I am in no rush at all (I am on holiday for a week as from Thursday)
I work from home most days so drop off would be no problem but we would have to arrange with the person who has the engine down in London.
Many thanks for the offer an I'll be in touch if no more direct options come up.
Many Many Thanks
Mark

I can do it but would need to cover diesel etc and you could come with me. I bought a 1.6L Pinto up from Windsor on Sunday and it went really well. took £45 in Diesel though so work ana mmount out and make me an offer Alternatively my wife is off work next week so I could go for a day out and pick it up on the way back?

Hi mate
The engine is only available on weekends but I am more than happy to cover your deisel mate.
I am on holiday from Thursday but if you feel like taking your good lady for a day out at the weekend that would be great mate.
Weekends are a nightmare for me at the moment because I am trying to get my hillclimb car finished for the start of the season.
drop me an email and we can chat
