Black Samco style hoses
Jeffers_S13 - 31/3/05 at 08:38 AM

Anyone know of a supplier that stocks a good selection of black, Samco style hoses ? there is a lead time of 6-8 weeks to get some made to order, I cant (dont want to...) wait that long, I want them next week ideally. Need mostly straight reducers or straights for the inlet pipework. If I go fancy with the water lines I may need bends eventually.

Thanks

James

Cant you just use a selection of hoses from other vehicles. ie "Go down the wreckers". The Samco one's are silicone rubber and typically not available in black. Red and Blue seem the most popular for the Chav's! HTH

Yep, I had to get blue for my road car, looks too bling, but as per usual was too impatient to wait for black ones. I want black in my kit car though, the engine bay will be as much as possible black and silver where alloy bits are used. Some hacked up hoses from the scrappy will look too Heath Robinson for my liking so not really an option. Black samcos with the logo hidden out of view and some nice mikalor clamps will look more professional.

Burton's do a fairly good selection and do have some black ones in stock.

Look under the cooling system section.

Think Auto may be able to help - I've been told they keep a good selection.

Have you tried Highbury Hoses? They do Samco style hoses to order for about half the cost of Samco. Their main colour is also blue but they will do other colours for a 10% premium I think.
Ive not yet used them myself but several friends have and all say they provide a great service.

I'll repeat Think Auto as when I dropped in earlier in the week, they offered me a choice of Blue or Black (Mocal Silicon Hose) for my water hoses.

Much cheaper than Samco from BurtonPower, too.
