PPC?
DorsetStrider - 11/8/05 at 11:39 PM

Can someone please tell me what PPC stands for and where to get a copy? I've tried all my local newsagents but when I ask them for PPC they look at me like I've got two heads....... perhaps I should have asked before picking up this months playboy...... ANYWAY!!!! lol

It sounds like a very handy mag and would love to have a read for myself.

Peteff - 11/8/05 at 11:48 PM

magazine. Took over from CCC, Cars and Car Conversions.

tweek - 11/8/05 at 11:57 PM

PPC = Practical Performance Car Magazine

quite literally the BEST monthly car mag I have ever read. Is spectacularly usefull and relevant to almost everybody who reads or uses this forum - I really can't rate it highly enough!

It gives me hope that when I finally manage to dig myself out of student debt, I too can get or build a stonking fast car for pittunce(crazy spelling I know!)

go to www.ppcmag.co.uk for more details, I usually get mine in whsmith or my local, so if we here in far flung northern ireland can get it then its bound to be round your neck of the woods too.

At this juncture i would like to point out that i am not actually employed by ppc or any of there associates.... despite my gushing!

HTH

cheers

I ended up subscribing because i couldn't find it anywhere!!!!

Saves money too

Dillinger1977 - 12/8/05 at 07:50 AM

if anyone wants the entire set (1-16), i might be tempted to sell for the right price...

or perhaps just #1. going on ebay for 35 quid these days

ChrisW - 12/8/05 at 10:10 AM

Yes, PPC is excellent, but very difficult to find. Far easier to subscribe!

Chris

DarrenW - 12/8/05 at 10:37 AM

I highly recommend subsription. The problem with newsagents is that they sell out so quickly as it is getting very popular.

Hellfire - 12/8/05 at 11:36 AM

Anyone got the latest copy? A few of us sent some pictures last month of our bike engined indys. Wondered if they had been included in this Months PPC.........

big_wasa - 12/8/05 at 12:29 PM

bet yours is the top one

There is one down side to this great mag,Having read it I keep going and buying another old banger instead of craking on with the project in hand

Just Subbed

see the staff cars with the guy whos fitting a 27 litre v12!

Gav - 12/8/05 at 02:29 PM

Actually ive ust been looking at the back issues, dont suppose someone would like to part with issue 12? as they have sold out of that issue.
Im interested in the 1.8T workshop since thats what ive got in my leon
if someones has it but dosnt want to get rid of it im happy to pay for postage then post it back.

ChrisW - 12/8/05 at 02:44 PM

I've got it - can photocopy the article if you like?

Chris

liam.mccaffrey - 12/8/05 at 02:50 PM

i "think" i have a spare 12, that was the month it was really late to the subscribers
and i bought it from smiths, i will have a look but no promises

Gav - 12/8/05 at 03:03 PM

Liam, that woul be great ta,

Chris, if Liam dosnt have a spare that would be excellent, ta.

Jasper - 12/8/05 at 03:22 PM

They've only got about 3 or 4 back issues left now, so don't leave it too long to get yours. And yes, 12 is sold out, but I think it's 11 they've just found another box of.

Definitely best car mag around

Dillinger1977 - 12/8/05 at 03:58 PM

12 was given out free at .. err.. stoneleigh?

and ive just gone and binned my 'spare' .. doh!

Winston Todge - 12/8/05 at 04:20 PM

A little of an aside but in this months PPC there's the page that big_wasa posted and the weak point of the R1 was a weak gearbox?

Is it me or aren't the supposed to have very strong boxes?

Any comments?

Ta,

Chris.

Must agrea excellent mag, i`ve got the one with the xe powered mini. Its is hard to explain why it is so good, but all the practicle features is one reason.
