OH MY GOD!!!! OH WOW!!!!

Uuuuurrrrrr...

My CNC machining buddy has finished my ally flywheel (for free!!!! - well i paid for the ally)

I've never seen anything so beautiful!! The little holes are all threaded and stuff... all the edges are radiused, all the hole edges chamfered... sniff... I can barely contain myself. It's even shiny... waaaaaaahhhhhhh.

I can barely even consider hiding it away in my car - I want to love it, talk to it and treat it right. Got to look into fitting a large window in the top of my bellhousing and some neons inside, and a window in the top of the tranny tunnel so I can look at it working...

Oh wow!!

Very nice indeed....why did you have one made instead of the standard one?

Well - it's to fit to my honda engine and take a ford clutch for my ford gearbox. Also to give me the right clutch spacing taking into account my adaptor plate and funny engine/box combo.

Just need to have a barbecue whilst the sun's still out to fit the ring gear and get a friction plate laser cut...

Mmmmm 2.8kg of pure love...

looks more like a slppeing bag! must to sleeping rough to save moeny for the car

what size clutch are you going to use liam, 7.25"?

Ned.

Liam - 8/9/05 at 12:47 PM

Um well, i've been sleeping rough for a couple of days cos i cant be arsed to put the laundry on!. It actually spent the night on the floor next to my bed (honest). It would have been too cold in the garage.

Fred - it's made of 7075-T6 which should be well up to the job.

Ned - it takes the standard XR4x4 clutch from my donor. If i'd been feeling rich at the time i'd have designed it to fit a 5" rally clutch or something!

Heh, I'll always remember the befuddlement of my mates sister when she came in to see him sat on the couch with the bike cylinder head sat next to him on the couch.
She couldn't get over the fact that he was staring lovingly at it.
FFS what did she expect he'd just stripped, cleaned and rebuilt it !
