does anybody know how a dyy sump works because when i have cut mine down it may as well be ?.
You have a pump to scavange the sump (or whats left of it), this then passes through a centrifuge to get the air out of the oil then is stuck in a
holding tank before being returned to the cars oil pickup.
Having a tiny sump is okay as long as the engine does not draw air and the oil does not overheat. If you can plumb in an oil cooler and make an
effective baffle then you should be okay as you replace some of the volumn of oil. Just change the oil often.
