insurance quote

I'm looking round for insurance quotes. The cheapest so far is £230 for my R1 engined VortX. I'm over 30, it is garraged and I have a clean licence.
Is this a good price or should I hunt around further?

Try Gott & Wynne. I'm 42 Locost 1.6 pinto and £135 fully comp, 3,000K limit.

I know it's not as hot as yours but I thought it was good value. Tried Adrian Flux and they were around £30 more.

Details in Kit Kar mags

the impression i got was that the company i rang quoted what they thought they could get away with. When they ask what you are expecting to pay, say 1-2 hundred quid. I said 2-3 hundred and they quoted £276, and said only half of that went to the underwriter.

2 years ago i was quoted £98 for a blade bike engined Indy. Sounds like they have gotten wise to it, looks like £150+ now

Also try Footman James

Striker, 1600cc 20V 4AGE, £10k value, garaged and 3K miles per year. I'm 34.

Premium £175.00 (including break down recovery)

I was aiming for less than £200 so stopped trying whent they quoted me that.
