A Use For Land Rover Half Shafts!

Anyone who has owned a series landrover that they have used in anger will have a collection of broken half shafts. At last I have found a use for at least one, it will be used as bar stock to make the threaded tube for the front wishbones of my locost!

Anyone think of other uses around a locost?

Tire pressure checker (for those people who like to lean on my cars)

Same for me, I have some old RR halfshafts that will be seeing the lathe shortly for the rear wishbones on IRS suspension.

I just got some bronze rod for bushes so just need grease nipples and I,m off.

hard metal though !

Oh forgot to add, classic range rover track rod ends fit the cortina uprights, I have a selection of rangerover steering links which when sawn up will provide the threaded tube for the top wishbone and an 'in-line adjuster' on the front lower.

I like a bit of free....

I wish I had known that earlier today! It would have saved me some money buying TREs and a tap!
