After a frustrating wait for my registration number and tax, YRP 595W is finally on the road.
It's bloody great, with only a couple of minor teething type things to sort out so far.
I've never been looked at so much in my life, which I'm not sure I like, but I'm prepared to put up with it just to drive the thing.
I'll post some "on the road" pictures soon, probably showing me with wicked sunburn, because the weather looks good at the weekend.
Thanks again everybody.
David
Nice feeling is'nt it? Get sunburn even when it's not sunny in mine suspect the wind has something to do with it
Well done mate. And the weathers on the up.

Well Done David.
See you at the next meet then. With car.

Well done... I've just got my Viento on the road last week.
You are in for a great time.. just take it easy, until you "know" your car, Ive had a couple of surprises on roundabouts with too much
throttle and the back end stepping out unexpectedley. Dont trash the car, through not understanding, or being familiar with it.
Other than that its a real blast... got 470 miles on it now, and still running in
Ive been chatted up twice in garages, once by another customer, and she was nice... I have NEVER had that kind of attention before, I'm 53,
greying, and a FAT B'Stard. Yup... Get used to the looking at yer!.. A slow drive through town on a sunny day, and LISTEN to the comments.. It
does your soul a power of good
You enjoy it... all of it.
But take care until you "know" your car. Its a learning curve thing. Rear wheel drive cars are different to front wheel drive ones... Ahh
it takes me back to my Cortina GT days ...(as he gallops down memory lane)

Not been chatted up, but put in 115miles over the weekend. I love it and being 46 I've also driven mostly RWD. Still taking it easy though,
because then I don't have to walk back so far to pick up any bits that fall off it
Handling is much better since Trev D kindly set up my tracking on Saturday.
I'm actually running the car in, or at least trying, but it's very nippy even without burying my right foot.
Got a cheeky grin from a Cobra driver on Saturday and a big thumbs up from someone in a purple Ultima Sunday.
Highlight of the weekend was however going around corners.
Every single one of them.
Well done that man, it makes the build so worth while and what a nice time of year to get it finished.
Ive done 1700 miles since December. Last Friday was the first time that i can truly say i felt the sun. Twas fantastic. Ive got so used to wrapping up
before a drive that to finally get out in T-shirt was superb.
i love the comments. Never fail to get one. It does make you feel good.
I was just saying to Flakmonkey the other day, we spend hard earned and many months building these machines often after never driving one before. Go
through the 'what if i dont like it' battles in head when the build hits sticky points and then after 5 mins in the sun you forget all that
and have permanent grin on face. i absolutely love my ZR.
