i heard that robin hood sell about 400 kits a year so why dont you see more of these cars on the road
i'd say i see more of them any anything else, in fact i've seen 2 today.
always more at owners club meets aswell.
theres lof unfinished kits aswell

i always hear from lots of people that robin hoods are crap, the build manual is a joke and the service is shocking, so why are people buying their kits?
there cheap, (well they were) and not as bad as people make out.
robin hood aren't the only ones with a crap build manual!
the budget nature of the kit means if it's going to turn out well, it needs a lot of time, effort and probably patience put in. i always look
round the robin hood stand at shows, as the good ones are really good (maybe they're as good as any normal kit, but compared to the others they
shine
)
they might not have a brilliantly torsionally rigid chassis, but if you can attach 4 wheels to it and build a car out of it, it serves it's
purpose for the majority of people who buy them.
back to the original question, there are probably a disproportionate amount of unfinished kits compared to other manufacturers due to the above.

Their price before probs arttracted a lot of people who doubted their own ability to build a car and didnt want to commit a lot of cash up front. Like
most things in life if built correctly theres nowt wrong with them. As for the manual some kits dont come with one and to be honest you dont always
need one. I guess the issue is that when one is available some will follow it and forget to add some of their own flare and creativity so if there are
some errors they will be made more apparent.
In my mind the RH (and ive only really talked to 2B owners) is a perfectly good road car and fun weekend sports motor. You have to hand it to them
they captured one end of the market very well indeed. Not my cup of tea but thats just my personal opinion so only worth as much as a cup of tea.
