the cars on either side seem to be westfields too, to my eye, so thats probably correct.

Could it be a Westfield FW400? It was the carbon bodied one they made a few of in 1999.

Or it could be a Sport 2000S FW which shares the shape.

Correct the new Westfield ,this body work will fit onto wide bodied westfields.

Id suggest if its on a T plate the 1999 FW400 model would be more likely.
The new car isnt likely to wear an old plate.

Definitely the new Westfield bodywork, and as has been mentioned this can be retro-fitted to existing wide bodied cars. Not to my taste.

Didn't know about the Kimbolton show , only about 25miles or so from me . Wouldn't have been able to go though , she has had me decorating all day

Definitely a FW400 (feather weight 400kg apparently) Designed by Martin Ogilvie (Lotus 72 and Elise GT1 designer)
Carbon monocoque, 1.8 VVC rover K series, Hewland transaxle, ггггггг!!
Good idea, just that it was really crying out for a bike engine.......Sorry, am I starting to sound like Hellfire?

Crickey! 400kg with a boat anchor in it?Bung a nice bike engine in and it'll weigh less than 350! Just need to have a nice feather weight driver too.

It was at the time they seemed to have a willy waving contest with badgerum about who had the higher power to weight ratio. So, it was probably weighed with no liquids, etc.
Remember CCC done a feature on it with Rob Gravett giving it some stick

Don't know how many Westfield sold but you're right..... it'd make an ideal BEC

Looking at the westfield site, they're definitely putting that bodywork onto some standard cars now

But it's origins definitely hark back to the FW400.

Given the black side panels, I'd lay odds on that being an original FW400....

Yes it was at Kimbolton.
Yes it was a Westfield, (I wasn't sure if the body was Westfield or home jobbie)
