Insurance quote - competitive?
nick205 - 9/1/07 at 01:11 PM

Afternoon All,

I just got my first insurance quote from Footman James in preparation for driving to the SVA.

Car: MK Indy 2.0 Pinto
Me: 33, clean lisence
Policy: 3rd party F&T, 3k miles/yr, garaged, UK+Eurpean breakdown cover, 30 days European cover.
Cost: £147.00

They seemed happy to insure on a chassis number for 30 days ata time and confirmed (Verbally) that this could be rolled over if required - i.e. for SVA re-test if required.

Sound reasonable?

What sort of price are others paying?

Seems a good price to include Breakdown cover.

May we assume that as you are getting quotes for insurance your about ready for sva.

It will be good to see you on the road.

try www.adrianflux.co.uk

they are usualy very competetive, they have specialised kit car insurance (dont ask me how its different to normal insurance but its usualy cheaper than with non-specialist insurance brokers )

a while back they quoted my friend for a (non existant, he can dream lol) 3.5l rover v8 engined locost at the age of 20 for £170

Flux wanted £250

I pay £430 for an Indy Blackbird, 23, garaged, clean licence ( somehow! ), and 3,000 miles.
