who do you use for your kit car insurance ?
i used Roadsure last year but its gone up £70 ish for no reason this year .
Footman James.
£213 fully comp 3000 miles limited, age 42 with full no claims, garaged.
i will be using adrian Flux, i got some realy competetive quotes for locosts with stupidly powerful engines lol (i can dream lol)
Matt
Adrian flux here too, only went up a fiver after a almost total loss claim last year.
Theres no rule, It depends on you, your age your car and which way the wind is blowing,
Just phone them all and see.
Flux was best for me by a mile, Old fart with Bike engined Indy.
Steve.
The only catch with Adrian flux is to if you insure the car to take it to sva.
If you go beyond 30 days to get a registration, they may allow you another 14 days grace to provide one before cancelling your policy.
On top of that you will not get one penny in refund of a years insurance for only 44 days cover.
You have been warned!!!!!!!!!
I started off getting a quote from AF and it came out at £508.
Told them that my freind (russ) insurance with them was £287 (furore with twin kwackers). They matched it, but then so did FJ.
Then FJ reduced it again after I installed a Cat 1 thatcham immobiliser.
These companies always seem to strong it at first so get TOUGH !!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with Flux too. I pay just over £200 for mine. I'm 30 and have had a claim nearly 2 years ago but not on this policy.
I'm 5000 miles a year (not doing that though but you can dream) and not garaged! (Car-ported...I'm not THAT cruel)
Yeah Flux hassled me for a reg number after 15 days, they kept sending letters telling me it was urgent to supply a reg. when I phoned them to ask why
they were hassling me they said it was routine to send out letters. That was after they had agreed to 30 days plus more if I kept them informed.
But if you are renewing that problem does not exist.
Steve

All you old people! I pay £430, but I'm, only 23 with an Indy Bird, with 5,000 miles.
adrian flux for me. already with em for my road car.
29 years old, 2.0 16v XE engined locost, ws £79 for a years "laid up" insurance for which they only wanted the VIN, then an extra £126 to
upgrade to fully comp road cover when its legal (will trailer it to SVA etc)
so £206 in total.
value quoted at £6k
MSM were very helpful, and would have got the business anyway has I not been with flux already, even though they were £45 adrift
I'm with FJ
Striker with 4AGE, value given as £10K, garaged and limited to 3K miles per year.
My premium was £160 last year and it dropped to £140 fully comp this year age 35

Another Flux customer. Almost fell foul of the 44 day thing. If you go with them I'd check with them to see if you can insure the car for just the SVA test day first then do the proper insurance once its road registered..... Can't remember what the insurance premium exactly was, but I know I didn't fancy loosing 100% of it due to DVLA being noggins.
Adrian Flux. £88.75 fully comp, 3000 mile limit. 46 year old with a 1300.
Truly Locost.
