new locost parts store
marc n - 12/2/07 at 07:34 PM

As some may know im now a partner in a new company called locostparts.net. a fully online parts ordering website, wich includes full stock display so the part you want you can see if it is in stock awaiting for dispatch, all payments are only taken if part is in stock and dispatched, all card payments can be taken,
With the sucess and demand of mnr sportscars we have decided it is best to divide the locost parts side of our business and mnr sportscars side with dedicated people for each arm of the business, so we can provide a better before and after sales support service in both areas
with recent investment in new cnc machines we now make 95 % in house soon to be 100% when the cnc lathe arrives
which means great prices and total control over stock levels and supply as we are the manufacturer and the distributor
a taster of prices available in two weeks time
dedion axles std or +4 powdercoated £95 + carrige
full front end wishbone set £90 powder coated
exhaust and inlet manifold plates from £10
motorbike baffle plates from £30
we are launching with 20 products and expanding each week as we build up stock
the initial launch date was january but we where not in a position to launch with correct stock levels so have delayed till now
The website will be updated each sunday evening with new stock levels which automatically count down as stock is sold during the week so you know if it is available for immediate dispatch.
also each week we will be adding new products to our database but only when we have a sustanable stock level so all parts available for immediate dispatch

coming soon
budget bolt in pedal boxes
budget manifold systems
full range of brackets at amazing prices
plus lots of deals on lights panels etc

best regards

marc

p.s any sugestions to brackets or parts not on our inventory please contact us

Seriously wish you all the best of luck. It sounds like you'll soon be selling all the bits i've wanted in one place ....... if only you'd opened a few years ago.

wilkingj - 13/2/07 at 06:09 PM

Good Luck with the venture.. Sounds good especially not taking the money until dispatch.. Thats a nice touch and will give customers confidence in you.

EDIT:
Ive tried www.locostparts.net All it says is opening soon on 31st Jan... cant open the site or find any links to get in.
Someone tell me what I am doing wrong.

OK update time
well we have had our first week, and lots of problems with the server pay services etc, we had strange things happening with regards stock qtys and prices but hopefully by the end of today all should be working again, one thing that has annoyed me with the first week is the stock countdown system didnt work as parts where sold, so when we originally had 5 zetec systems in stock as they where sold the stock never counted down and allowed somone to purchase one without it being in stock ( our whole aim is to not be in this senario ) luckily the chap involved has been ever so helpfull in this matter and despite offer of full refund he is prepared to wait
like i said im sure it will take a couple of weeks to iron out the bugs, so appologies to those who have been affected, we set up stock levels based on anticipated sales and being able to build stock over time and boy where we wrong, although when it had been sold it was supposed to be counted down so if not in stock then you couldnt bvuy it
the immediate demand and interest has been staggering on thursday we had 7000 hits from 15 coutries
Hopefully next week will go a little smoother

best regards

marc

excellent site!

Just a small question, your fabricated rear upright looks, in the picture, like a front upright (ie bolt on steering arm), is it the correct picture?

http://www.locostparts.net/product_info.php?cPath=7&products_id=384

also, do you think prices should be shown including VAT?

marc n - 25/2/07 at 12:24 PM

The site is being altered to inclusive prices and then showing minus vat for overseas customers rather than the other way round
your correct about the rear upright

bit more work for me
really appreatiate the feedback

best regards

marc

More than a bit depressed at the price of the "Locost Cortina Uprights and Ali Hubs"

£350

not exactly locost eh ! Seems like the price has gone up a bit since Roty designed them! How about a price without the Ali hubs??

G.Man - 27/2/07 at 04:42 PM

As the alloy hubs are £175, I am guessing close to £175

JoelP - 27/2/07 at 04:49 PM

im more depressed at the fallen price of raceleda full kits, i paid over a grand for mine before MNR took over!
