I have a rover 75, and need to refurbish 2 wheels,
does any one know what colour will match ?
the wheels are Union style, and appear to be of a silver type, but quite heavy in metalic,
ive had two quotes by wheel specalists, one for £100 per wheel, and the other wouldnt touch them,
also I had some paint made up in an areosel can, but I am not happy with the colour

That sounds ridiculous...would try Monty's Wheels in West London....used to be sensible prices...
Quite a few on ebay, BTW....
I will try Montys wheels,
also the ones on Fleebay have all gone for 100 + per wheel plus postage,
I know i seem to have about 30 in my fleebay saved searches, also If I paint two, they will stay on one side, so wont clash,
but thanks for the comments

Do the lot. Theyl all be the same then..
At £100 per wheel ??
On the union pattern the metallic flakes in the finish are quite big I also think they were given a clear coat on top of the silver base.
If colour match is the only problem the answer is of course fit both wheels to the same side.
I think the new price of these wheels is about £150 each ---- so alternatively buy new ones sell the old pair on ebay.
Standox scheme 510 silver basecoat, clearcoat over the top

There's a place in Tonbridge called Spit and Polish, might be worth a call. And only 3/4 of an hour from you.

Apart from Mark Allanson's post which is probably ideal, you could try Halfords Alloy Wheel paint in silver - it is a pretty good match for lots of alloy wheels, and one tin is usually enough to give a quick cover to 4 wheels which can then be laquered - £10 all in, or £20 if you need two tins of each to give a better finish.
