just saying hello because I'm new here
I'm building a locost based on a BMW E36 318is and it's going pretty well, but I think I'm gonna need a little bit more info now the
tricky bits are comming...
So why not join a forum
I hope to share lot's of good and not so good times with all of you in the next months(years)
Welcome!
You'll attract a fair bit of attention if you successfully get BMW bits to fit... potentially the next common donor.
Have fun,
David
Good luck with an interesting sounding project.
Keep posting your developments!
Cheers,
James
Take plenty of Photo's and put them in your archive on here... its got to be useful to someone.
Welcome & good luck with the project - you'll find this place a mine of useful (& sometimes useless) information.
Welcome, you will find a host of information on here as I did.
When you gety stuck just ask the question and you will get an answer in one shape or another.
Steve
welcome, hope you find what you are looking for
welcome.
sure you will find lots on here !
Thanks
I'll try to take some interesting foto's when it get's a bit more intresting...
I've just finished the chassis and started stripping the donor...
The BMW318i(s) is very good for building a locost because it's a small engine with lots of potential and almost al the other parts are usefull
(only the front wheel hubs are a bit strange)
I'm also building the rear suspension with one wishbone on each side atached to tube B1... this way the rear wheel hubs fit like a glove and
there's room enough for the diff, boot and fuel tank...
So I can deffinatly recomend using a beemer
Your ideas for the rear end sound interesting enough and I for one am definately looking forward to seeing the pictures. Oh, yeah, welcome.
welcome aboard BEEMER man. Always good to have a few different donors. Sierras are getting quite rare in scrappies now
"Beemer man"... I like it
