Generally supportive provided I've done my bit around the house - fair enough really.
Having just passed SVA today she is now under the illusion that the car is finished and only requires to be driven - oh how misguided can you be
Nina goes out to aerobics for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday mornings so as long as I can force myself to get up at the ridiculously early time
that the classes starts I can get a few hours in on each weekend day.
Otherwise it's evenings but my work often finishes late and the motivation to walk to the garage tends to wain after food and a few glasses of
wine!!!
Theres not one saying, here you go love(hands over cash), take the kids out and buy something for yourself too.
Or.
Oh, ok then have you got some money for me and the kids to go shopping.
Ok I voted Fine, I have got something I have to do anyway.
I have managed to get my girl friend in to making jewellery from beads ,buttons and stuff she is not the creative type but she Is getting rely into it
now even selling some of it to her friends and work colleges. So I think she is taking the if you cant beat them join them rout I am encouraging
“beading” as much as possible as it gets me of the hook and in to the garage (car port) also making jewellery is a lot less expensive than shopping
for clothes (her other fav past time) and she is spending more time at the gym to so is looking hotter than ever. I win all round but of course I
let her think she is getting her way.
Mine was away at uni for most of the build which was pretty convenient. In fact I finished the car just as she was finishing so it's worked quite
well.
She was relatively supportive during the build although I think early on it nearly split us up a couple of times.
But she's quite practical and helped at times, and the 2 times I did all-nighters before my SVA tests she stayed up to help. (As did Ned for that
matter!).

My girlfriend told me she would leave me when I started to build a kitcar! Sometimes I kind of miss her.
Most week-end's it's like a mini car show out the back of our house.A couple of locost's a few tin tops plus all the kids with
bmx's/moto-x etc. Tea/toast &the odd bacon sarnie
It's good we have understanding neighbours(everybody needs good neighbours !!)
And a VERY understanding wife
(before the locost's it was mk2 rs2000,before them it was cossies..you get the picture)

She assembled my Chevy V8 for me 
I voted for the nearest to' She gives me so many jobs to do, there isn't any time left to work on the car'

My GF is ok with it. She likes cars, and comes to stoneleigh with me. She is even going on my little planned road trip in the summer, so its all good
really

Luck for me she is just as enthusiastic about the build as I am. She often gives me a hand too, especially when I need to get into an awkward place in
the car (she managed to install a master cylinder for me :cool
She did all of my internal trim too
None apply for me. Im a modern husband and considerate father (ish). I only ever tinker with the car on nights when kids have gone to bed and She is
settled watching TV. I built the full car like this. I only ever spend family quality time when;
1. Car needs a repair so she can have the tintop,
2. Its a tricky job that will take some time and i have pre-booked the 'day off'.
Other than that she is generally very supportive and i have no complaints at all. At least im not spending spare time in a pub / up to no good. She
always knows where iam.
The only downside to my approach (ie the car is a hobby and not a no.1 priority) is when there is a weekend blat on.
