The sale has apparently gone through. All will no doubt be revealed at Detling.

Nobody at the RGB race at Donington knew anything so I guess it has not been made public yet.

quote:
from Yahoo BEC list
Hi - apologies for the somewhat impersonal nature of this email, but I
thought it best to let everyone know the situation as quickly as possible.

Following a serious illness, I have most regrettably been obliged to sell
the Fisher Sports Cars business. The sale was finalised on Saturday 31st
March 2007, and the new owners of the business are: -

BGH Geartech Ltd

Unit 8

Verralls Business Centre

Maidstone Road

Cranbrook

Kent TN17 2AF

Contacts: Chris Laing & Brian Hill

Tel/Fax: 01580 714114

Email: bgh.geartech@virgin.net

PLEASE NOTE: The above email address may be used by anyone wishing to
contact the new owners. The main Fisher Sports Cars email addresses will be
transferred as soon as possible, but meanwhile I will be forwarding all
emails received on the following email addresses to BGH Geartech:

Sales@FisherSportsCars.co.uk

Parts@FisherSportsCars.co.uk

Service@FisherSportsCars.co.uk

BGH Geartech also own Cranbrook Kit Cars, based at the same address as
above, and employ Steve Hughes, who as many will know, has worked for Fisher
Sports Cars for most of the last 15 years and probably knows more about the
car than just about anyone else in the industry. BGH Geartech are of course
extremely well known in the Kit Car industry for their up rated and special
gearboxes and already have a long standing association with Fisher Sports
Cars. I could not have wished for the business to go to a more capable or
enthusiastic company.

IT WILL INEVITABLY TAKE A FEW DAYS before all the stock and equipment,
(which was also transferred with the business on Saturday 31st March), to be
unloaded and sorted out. BGH have therefore requested that they be allowed a
few days to get re-organised before they can start actively dealing with
enquiries and parts orders.

May I take this opportunity to wish BGH Geartech every success with the
Fisher Fury range of cars.

Martin Bell

ex-proprietor Fisher Sports Cars & The Kit Car Workshop.

PS: - The Kit Car Workshop premises in Rushden have also now been sold to a
general car repair business, (not involved in any way with the kit car
industry).

Good to hear the company's gone to someone with being a bit mad at heart! May even make a few of the gearboxes cheaper too.
